Surface

    1. Both surfaces were physically inspected at 100 %. State of the surface complies with API 5L requirements.
    1. The outside surface of the tubing shall be covered with a varnish coating.

NDT

Both pipes must be ultrasonically tested as per API 5L requirements on the body of the pipes and pipe ends:

    1. Longitudinal: 100 percent thickness of the shaft
    1. Pipe ends that are not scanned by an automatic ultrasonic system shall be inspected by manual UT or Magnetic Particle Exam.

Certification and Traceability

A 3.2 certificate according to EN 10204, endorsed by recognized and independent inspection agency, will be supplied to all dimensions. In SI units (B) the labeling shall be in compliance with the specifications of the API & mill standard.

Dimensional Control

All dimensions will be supplied according to API 5L clause 9.11; In addition, the following tolerances apply:

    1. Pipe body: +/- 0,75%
    1. Pipe end: +/- 0,5%
    1. Wall thickness: +15%, -12,5%
    1. Length: -0 / +100mm

Pipe Ends

Pipe Ends are beveled. The end angle is 30 °-0 ° /+5 °, the root side is 1.6 mm + /- 0.8 mm and is fitted with bevel guards.

Protection

Pipes are varnished on the outside.
